Natural language search
Pertimm brings a real breakthrough called Pertimmizers. With Pertimmizers you can express yourself freely and type in all terms that come to your mind when you do your search. The more you describe your concerns, the more relevant the answers will be.
Types of search: simple, Boolean and advanced.
Pertimm offers two basic types of search: simple and advanced.
The advanced search allows for Boolean combinations (AND, OR, NOT, …) as well as selection of dates, languages, formats and may other customizable search parameters.
Helping the search
Pertimm offers a dynamic list of suggestions which is triggered as the user starts inputting his query. These suggestions use words or expressions actually in your corpus (names, references, …).
Input flexibility and fuzzy search
Pertimm is natively linguistic. It manages genders and numbers, accents, cases, conjugations, … Its advanced spell checker provides a great allowance for mistyping (shuffled letters, for instance) and misspellings.
Many ways of sorting/grouping results
Pertimm offers many levels of sorting by relevance, date, named entities, geography. The sorting algorithm takes the proximity of terms into account as well as the occurrences in structural elements such as titles or metadata.
Dynamic management of synonyms and thesaurii
Through its back office, Pertimm allows to easily add lists of synonyms or acronyms, or specialized dictionaries. You can modify them at leisure without re-analyzing everything.
Modes of use
Pertimm can be run hosted, or installed on our customers’ servers (Windows or Linux).
Multi- and cross-lingual searches
Pertimm detects automatically the language in use. It allows to choose the language of the searched documents as well as the language of the user interface. This is multi-lingual.
From a request written in a given language on any mixture of languages, Pertimm will find all relevant documents in your corpus, whatever language they are written in. This is cross-lingual.
Semantic navigation in the content
The Pertimm engine is natively semantic. Each query allows to navigate richly using suggested terms, associated to your query (co-occurrences, named entities, associated themes, …).
Automatic making up of summaries or "semantic glimpses"
In the list of results, each document title comes with a semantic glimpse that allows to quickly identify what this document is all about.
Highlighting of contents
The Pertimm viewer allows to quickly identify the terms of your query embedded in the documents, with a different color for conjugations, synonyms or named entities. You will always know why a document is relevant.
Customizing results
You can also customize your results by highlighting some items with given queries (most selected results, most popular pages, …).
Complete management of named entities
You can integrate lists of named entities (names of products, of people, companies, etc.) : Their appearance will be dynamically highlighted in every result of your queries.
Request analysis
Statistical tools in Pertimm’s back office allow for fine tuning and analyzing the behavior of your users (volumes, percentage of success, FAQ, missed answers), so that you can tune you editorial strategy vey close to their needs.
