PERTIMM DEVELOPPEMENT (Pertimm) is committed to making its website www.pertimm.com accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.
What web accessibility means
An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse it with the same, or a similar, level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This depends both on how the site is built and on the capabilities of the system and assistive technologies each visitor uses.
Target standard
Our reference is the French General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA 4.1 (opens in a new tab)). Its criteria are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C (WCAG 2.1 (opens in a new tab)). Our target is level AA.
Compliance status
Not yet audited. No RGAA conformity audit of the Website has been carried out yet, so we do not state a compliance rate or claim conformity at any level.
Under RGAA rules, a website without a valid audit is formally declared “non-compliant”. This reflects the absence of an audit, not a known failure. We intend to have the Website audited against the RGAA; this statement will then be updated with the results and, where needed, a plan to correct any issues found.
What is in place
The Website was designed and built with accessibility in mind from the start. During development, every page is checked with automated tests (heading structure, text alternatives, accessible names, minimum text size, keyboard use of the menu, reduced motion, pages without JavaScript) and reviewed manually. In practice:
- Language. The language of every page is declared (English), and the three articles written in French are marked as such, so that screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- Structure and reading order. Each page has a single main heading, a logical heading hierarchy, landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a content order that makes sense when read aloud. A “Skip to content” link is the first element of every page.
- Text alternatives. Informative images have a text alternative; decorative images and light effects are hidden from assistive technologies. Illustrative images are labelled as such.
- Colour and contrast. Text colours are chosen to meet at least the WCAG AA contrast ratios, on dark and light backgrounds, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
- Keyboard. Every link, button, menu, tab, dialog and form field can be reached and used with the keyboard, without keyboard traps.
- Visible focus. A clear focus ring shows where you are when you navigate with the keyboard.
- Motion. Animations are subtle and never essential. If your system asks for reduced motion, they are switched off, the light effect becomes a still image and moving logo strips become static lists. Moving strips always have a visible pause button and stop when they are off screen.
- Without JavaScript. All content remains visible and usable; interactive enhancements are added on top.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label and required fields are marked. Errors are explained in text, linked to their field and announced to screen readers, and focus moves to the first field to correct.
- Zoom and small screens. The layout adapts down to 320 pixels wide and supports text enlargement without loss of content. Text is never smaller than 12 pixels.
- Links. Links that open in a new tab say so to screen readers.
- Media and files. The Website currently contains no video, no audio and no downloadable documents. Any we add will be made accessible (captions, transcripts, accessible documents) or offered in another format on request.

- Tab Move forward through links, buttons and form fields. Pressed first on any page, it reveals the “Skip to content” link.
- ShiftplusTab Move back to the previous element.
- Enter Follow a link or activate a button.
- Space Activate a button, tick a checkbox, or open and close expandable panels such as “Read application overview”.
- Esc Close the mobile menu or a dialog window. Focus returns to where you were.
- Left arrow Right arrow Home End Move between tabs in a tabbed section, such as “Services & capabilities” on the home page.
Moving strips of logos and services also have a pause button that you can reach with Tab and activate with Enter or Space.
Known limitations
- Because the Website has not been audited yet, some issues may remain that our own checks have not detected. Your feedback helps us find them.
- The Website embeds no third-party content (no maps, videos or social-media widgets), so no page depends on content we do not control. However, the external websites we link to, such as research programme pages, public authorities and social networks, are not under our responsibility and may not meet the same standard.
